Day Glow: Life in Color 2012

On March 3, 2012 I went to see, Day Glow: Life in Color, in Knoxville, Tennessee. When my boyfriend told me he bought tickets I had never heard of Day Glow and I had never had an urge to throw neon colored paint on strangers. I can now say that I have experienced both.
Day Glow headlines as the "world's largest paint party". The show started at 8pm and lasted until about 1am. Throughout the night five different DJ's took the stage along with elaborate performers and an awesome light show. This concert is for fans of techno, house, dubstep, and all electric dance music. Day Glow is a concert that brings all different types of college students together to dance and have a great time.
First, you have to get your crew together. Next, find an all white outfit. Last, prepare to be soaked with paint. The paint doesn't start flying until about 11:00pm. It starts with just a few drops, but the next thing you know, people are shooting paint out of cannons, and something with the likeness of a transformer is spraying the crowd green with a giant gun. Don't worry, it washes off quite easily in the shower.

If you pay for VIP tickets then you will get in first and receive a free t-shirt, sunglasses, CD, Day Glow necklace, a drawstring bag, and a complimentary bottle of paint to throw on anyone you choose (definitely the best perk). The only bad part about VIP is that if you snag a front row spot, but then at some point have to use the restroom, it's nearly impossible to reclaim your place.

The Day Glow: Life in Color 2012 tour will be coming to Atlanta, Georgia on March 31 and tickets are still available! Its definitely worth a road trip. The tour will also make another stop through the south during Spring Break in Panama City, Florida and in Cancun, Mexico.

Day Glow this year was definitely a one of a kind experience for me. However, this is a show that cannot be summed up in words. Check out the promo video below!
